The S3 European Wireless ICT Partnership welcomed Lombardy as a new Partner!
As part of the Thematic Smart Specialisation Platform for Industrial Modernisation, the Wireless ICT partnership will, via EU-wide cross-regional collaboration, help to develop and to implement a common strategy enabling investments in the field of fast and energy- and resource-efficient wireless ICT. The growing number of devices and computing services will require combinational skills, for example in 5G technologies, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
Collaborating parties will join the forces to scale up vertical (thematic) pilot cases into full-scale cross-European value chains and sustainable business cases, aiming to industrial pilots utilising fast, reliable, secure, and energy-efficient wireless ICT. Approach used to the prepared pilots is from bottom-up, listening carefully the needs of the companies. Active participation of regional governments will ensure alignment between the business and the societal challenges thus making the value chains robust on a long-term perspective. The active participation of academic institutions will ensure flexibility within the partnership thus making it sustainable on a long term.
